Leah Donald, LMFT
Are you seeking guidance to navigate complex emotions and relationships? Choosing the right therapist for you is important. My clients would say I’m down-to-earth, curious and affirming with a natural inclination toward positive regard and good humor.
My therapeutic approach is designed to help you explore and understand your inner world, fostering a space for introspection and healing. My approach to therapy is humanistic and collaborative, a co-creation of change. Together we may work to: comprehend the influence of your past experiences, process difficult emotions or traumatic experiences, encourage self-compassion, envisioning a future that aligns with your values and desires. I always purpose to honor your story and your autonomy in our work together.
I’m a life-long Iowan, wife, mom and step-mom. For many years I worked in the Mental Health & Disability sector of Social Services as a direct service provider and administrator. This background informs my systems and community perspective. I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage & Family Therapy from Mount Mercy University.
In my personal time I enjoy podcast deep dives, hanging out with my favorite people and singing loudly in my car.
